Chuck Lennon Park

5000 Greenfield Dairy Rd, DeLeon Springs

Take Woodland North towards DeLeon Springs.  After Glenwood Road, continue another 5.7 miles. Go left on Ponce de Leon Boulevard.  Immediately after the train tracks turn left on Burts Park.  Then go left into Chuck Lennon Park.  There are 2 play areas. The first is near the tennis courts & is shaded.  The second play area is near the baseball field and is completely in the sun.  There are shaded pavilions near both play areas.

Dewey O. Boster Park

1236 Saxon Boulevard, Deltona

Take Woodland South towards Orange City.  Turn left (east) onto Saxon Boulevard, cross over I-4 (exit 111A), the park is approximately 2.7 miles east of I-4 on the right.  There are two playgrounds, a small one in the front and one in the rear (shaded) with two play areas near the athletic fields.

Earl Brown Park

750 S. Alabama Avenue, DeLand

Take Woodland South one mile.  Make a left on Beresford, & left on Alabama, the park is on the right.  The play area is partly shaded.  There is also a walking path and a lake with ducks.

Freedom Playground

230 North Stone Street, DeLand

This is part of Bill Dreggors Park.  From downtown, take New York towards 15A and make a right on High Street.  The park and playground is on the right.  This park is partially shaded.

Gateway Park

860 N. US Hwy 17/92, DeBary

Take Woodland South to DeBary, the park is located south of Saxon.  The playground has shade, there is a nature trail, pavilion and picnic areas.

Gemini Springs Park

37 Dirksen Drive, DeBary

Take 44 east to I-4 and head south on I-4.  Exit on Dirksen Drive (4162) and head West.  The park entrance is on the left.  There are walking and bicycling trails, a partially covered playground with a padded floor, restrooms, pavilions, fenced dog park, boat dock and boat rentals.

Hontoon Island Park

2309 River Ridge Road, DeLand

Hontoon Island is located west of DeLand off of State Road 44. Turn on County Road 4110 (Old New York Ave.), left if you are traveling west on 44, right if you are traveling east on 44. Follow County Road 4110 to County Road 4125 (Hontoon Road) make a left, go to River Ridge Road (continuation of County Road 4125) and make a left on to River Ridge Road. Park, and take a free ferry to the playground.

Jackson Lane Park

720 N. Frankfort Avenue, DeLand

Take Woodland North and make a right on Pennsylvania.  Go approximately one mile and the park is on the left.  It is partially shaded.

Lake Beresford Park

2100 Fatio Road, DeLand

DeLand’s newest Park includes 2 playgrounds (both big and small), pavilions, restroom facilities, & paved bike paths. In DeLand, take S.R. 44 west to Spring Garden Avenue (S.R. 15A). Turn south (left) on S.R. 15A. Turn west (right) onto W. Beresford Avenue (C.R. 4112). Turn south (left) on Fatio Road. The park is on the right.

Lake Macy Park

190 E Kicklighter Rd, Lake Helen

Take New York Ave (Hwy 44) east and turn right on Kepler Rd (CR-4101).  Drive about 4 miles and turn left on Cassadaga Rd (CR-4139) and then head left on Marion St.  Turn right on Kicklighter Rd. 

 

PFC Emory L. Bennett Veterans Memorial Park

1365 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Orange City

Take Woodland South into Orange City.  Make a left on Graves Avenue, continue down to Veterans Memorial Parkway and make a right.  Right after you pass Rhode Island street, the park entrance will be on your right.  The play area is  in the sun, but there is a shaded pavilion with benches and tables next to the play area.

Power Park

135 Serena Road, DeBary

Take Woodland Blvd south through Orange City & DeBary (about 10.5 miles).  After you pass Highbanks Rd, look for Asturiano Road and take a left.  Take the first right on Serena Road.  The park has a swingset & playground equipment with climbing bars, decks, & slides,  as well as a pavilion with picnic tables.

Rotary Park

Intersection of US Highway 17/92 and Blue Springs Avenue, Orange City

Take Woodland South into Orange City.  The park is on the left across the street from Stavro’s restaurant.  The entire playground is shaded. 

 

Skydive DeLand Playground

1600 Flight Line Boulevard, DeLand

The playground is located right along the drop zone, where the kids can enjoy watching the planes take off and skydivers land. Take International Speedway Blvd (aka Hwy 92) east. Turn left on Flight Line Blvd (just before the light at Jacobs Road). Follow the road until it ends.

Wes Crile Splash Park

1537 Norbert Terrace, Deltona

Take Woodland Blvd south to SR-472 (turns into Howland Blvd) and go east. Drive 3 miles, turn right on Providence (where Howland narrows to two lanes); drive about 2 miles and turn left on Fort Smith Road. The park is on the left, look for a white fence. The splash park is a fenced 2,400-square-foot play area next to the shaded Imagination Playground. There are restrooms and picnic tables.

Beachfront Parks


27th Avenue Beachfront Park

Take 44 towards New Smyrna Beach.  Drive about 20 miles and 44 becomes A1A/Atlantic Avenue South.  Go about two more miles and the park is on the left.  There is a children’s playground at this park as well as beach access.

Frank Rendon Beachfront Park

2705 Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores

Take Highway 92 towards Daytona Beach.  Drive approximately 20 miles and cross the bridge to the beach side.  Turn right onto A1A/Atlantic Avenue.  Drive about four miles and the park is on the left.   It has a playground area with a padded floor, picnic areas, restrooms and beach walkways.

Sun Splash Beachfront Park

611 S. Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach

Take Woodland North and make a right on International Speedway, heading towards Daytona Beach.  Drive approximately 20 miles and cross the bridge to the beachside.  Turn right onto A1A/Atlantic Avenue, the park is on the left.  There is an interactive water fountain, shaded playground, picnic areas, restrooms, and two beach access ramps.
